(a)   Camper: A portable dwelling unit designed and constructed for travel, recreation, and vacation use.

(b)   Travel Trailer: A vehicular portable structure built on a chassis intended to serve as a temporary dwelling for travel, recreational, and vacation purposes.

(a)   Campers and travel trailers may be stored on residential properties if they are owned by the property owner or tenant.

(b)   Stored campers and travel trailers must be maintained in good repair and must not pose a nuisance or safety hazard.

(c)   Campers and travel trailers shall not be stored in the front yard of any residential property except within a driveway.

(d)   All campers and travel trailers stored on residential properties must be legally tagged in accordance with state and local laws.

(a)   The use of campers or travel trailers for habitation is permitted on residential properties for a maximum duration often (10) days within any six (6) month period.

(b)   The camper or travel trailer must be owned by the property owner or tenant.

(c)   All sanitary waste from campers or travel trailers used for habitation must be disposed of properly and not discharged onto the residential property.

Any person found to be in violation of this article shall be subject to a fine of not less than $500.00, and/or any other penalties as prescribed by the City of Mound City.
